One cohesive shelving unit, copied from the days of whatnot shelves and Wooton desks with overriding characteristics to wall units of the same make that go for thousands of dollars. This piece will display an entire collection and give everyday objects a place of honor. Upper register contains three compartments, and descends to two compartments, two narrow compartments that flank a hinged with door with knee grain as decoration and pull compartment that reveals a desk space, followed by a final larger double hinged set of doors, compartment matched in size adjacent to two narrower drawers. The prownian analysis in this writer can't help but appreciate the well thought out drafting of this unit into perfectly sized shelves. As though you could build an entire home or temple with these proportions in the spirit of Mies Van Der Rohe. Please note it's care worn and has changed hands many times so that might be reflected a bit in the finish and framing implements. Made in Bosnia Yugoslavia
