18th century pair of coin silver skewers, possibly Jeremiah Wool, New York City, NY, circa 1790, having applied circular finger holes and fully intact sharp-ended points. Four maker's marks ''IW'' with serifs, in rectangular cartouches. 13''l. Total approximate weight 2.5 troy oz. Provenance: Robert Jackson, Ann Gillooly, New York, NY, 1982. Note: The Mabel Brady Garvan Collection, Yale University, page 160, 774, attributes this ''IW'' mark to Jeremiah Wool found on a gold buckle.
