Ends are Supported by Carvings of the Greek Titan ATLAS, with Heavily Beaded and Incised Desk Edges. Apron of Desk is Carved with Moses Striking the Rock at Horeb, Creating Miriam's Well that Followed the Tribes of Israel through Their Exile in the Desert. Exodus 17. Originally Property of Rabbi ZIGMUND GROZMANN of the DOHANY STREET SYNAGOGUE in BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, the Largest Synagogue in Europe. The Desk is Supported on Large Animal Paw Feet. Desk Measures 31" x 68" x 31". Minor Damage to Top Right Corner of Desk Top. Keys Present. Desk was Removed to Austria in 1939 by Owner's Grandmother and then to The United States in the 1960's.
