With the 'Edition Picasso' and 'Madoura' pottery stamps on the base. Incised and painted earthenware decorated in with partial brushed glaze.

Note: This design was first conceived by Picasso in 1953 and was executed at France's Madoura pottery in a limited edition of 200.

Provenance: Mac and Adele Siegel (1924-2020) of Palm Beach FL Collection, c 1980
Thence by descent to the present owner.

Condition: Small chip (1/4 in) loss of the green glaze at the front left edge of the spout, and a 1 1/4 in. loss of the green glaze at the top of the handle. There is a 1 1/2 in. piece of the green glaze that chipped off and has been glued back to the center of the handle.
