Description
A MING DYNASTY BRONZE CENSER, XUANDE MARK, 1426-1435, the flat everted rim on a short neck flaring to a compressed cauldron form body flanked by beastly swirling hair masks with pointy ears, and curled bangs over protruding eyes, flared nose and lobed cheeks hanging over a fanged serpent scale chin, raised on a circular foot, verso a two character seal in relief. Height: 2 3/4" Diameter: 8"
