Ersari torba, Middle Amu Darya region, Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan, mid-19th century. As with other patterns from this region of Uzbek influence, this design seems to be taken from silk ikats seen in resplendent traditional costumes. Size: 4'3'' x 1'2'' (130 x 36 cm). Weight: 2 lbs. Material: wool pile, wool warp, wool weft.
