Description
Item/Description: Exceptionally Rare,1930s-1940s Winnie the Poo and Tigger metal mesh change purse. Manufactured by the Whiting & Davis Company. This little mesh child's purse is comprised of enameled metal mesh in an Deco color palette of greens and pink. Scalloped enameled metal frame, kiss closure and delicate figure 8 link chain. Hallmarked twice on inner frame: Mesh Whiting & Davis Co. Bags. Comes with original color illustrated lidded box. ( Disneyana; Whiting & Davis).

Material: Painted Enamel, Metal Mesh, Pot Metal, Cardboard.

Dimensions: Length: 3"; Width: 2 5/8"; Height: 6".

Condition: Very Good. Metal mesh body intact; slight paint loss to several mesh squares. Surface wear includes silver plating loss to metal around frame.

Age: 1930s-1940s.

Provenance: Private Estate.
