A large 19th century Chinese Canton famille rose vase with tapering body and flared neck, painted in polychrome enamels with various shaped scattered panels depicting Manchu/Chinese court figures, insects and birds amongst flowering branches reserved against a gilt ground strewn with butterflies, flowers and foliate scroll, 45 cm high to/w a pair of Canton famille rose baluster vases and covers with lion finials also decorated with figures and natural history design on gilt ground, 31 cm o/a (3)

Larger vase has a chip and hairline from the rim extending down the neck, the pair of smaller vases both have significant losses/damage to the necks, covers and finials, general light wear to enamels and gilding on all three
