xiii, [1], 536 pp. Illustrated with wood-engraved plates plus steel-engraved frontispiece portrait. 18.7x12.7 cm (7¼x5"), period full red morocco decoratively tooled in gilt, raised bands, spine sections tooled in gilt; all edges gilt, with gilt dentelles.
With double or "split" fore-edge paintings, of Bishopsgate Street, Cornhill, with the tower of St. Michael‘s Cornhill Church visible, as seen in 1830, bending one direction; and an 1820 view of another street scene in Cornhill, in the other direction. Ex-libris bookplate of Edward Thomas King on front free endpaper.
Condition
Light scuffs to ribs and extremities; offsetting from stickers, ink signature of previous owner on front free endpaper, some faint marginal age-toning, binding solid; near fine.
