Sign discusses the ability for passengers to check baggage for storage at the baggage room with the baggage agent. The sign is marked in the lower right corner with Balto Enamel & Nov. Co., Balto. The sign measured 14" x 10" and has chipping at the upper mounting holes and around two additional mounting holes which were punched into the lower edges of the sign. The field of the sign has great gloss and strong lettering. The sign also is slightly domed and does not lay flat. Included with the sign is a type written letter explaining that the sign was discovered under the floor at the Fostoria, Ohio depot in 1980 while repairing a steam leak. A neat piece of documentation to add to this outstanding sign.
