He started his business career as an overseas marketing consultant for fortune 500 companies while developing marketing strategies, he became aware of the value in historical Asian porcelains. It was not the monetary portion but the historical value that they held. The larger his collection grew the more love he had for each item. He retired after 42 years to be at his wife's side.He was a Member of Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Veterans (AMVETS), and Military Officers Association of America (MOOA.) The old soldier just faded away but will never be forgotten.

All in gilt-bronze and a used condition by believers, the Avalokitesvara is of 114cm in height and 71cm in width. In a standing form, the Avalokitesvara wears a carved tiara with a pointed hair. With decorated enlonged earrings，the Avalokitesvara shows a kind look and a simle. On the chest decorated with necklace though gems in which missing. One hand below the chest and the other up, the Avalokitesvara wears an embroidered cape with decorations of poenies and auspicious clouds. The dress he wears has the same style as the upper decoration and the two bare feet with carved beads and floral foliage. He stands on a lotus shaped stand with carved lotus on. All in hammering technique, the Buddha shows a good condition with patina on the back.
