Description
Two Han Dynasty Glazed Pottery Architectural Models. The first of spreading cylindrical form with a wide rim set with a water jar on one side adjacent to one end of the tall arch, surmounted by the roofed pulley housing, applied with a pair of downward facing dragon heads, covered with a spinach-green glaze; the second potted as a two-tiered hexagonal pagoda, with eight figures in the interior, all beneath a pale green glaze. {First: 15 1/4 inches (38.7 cm)}. Provenance: Property from the Richard I. Stone Estate. Condition: Both models with chips, losses, age-related wear to glazed surfaces.
