ENGLISH GAUDY DUTCH CERAMIC CUP AND SAUCER SETS, LOT OF TWO, each having polychrome hand-painted floral design, comprising one example with "Dahlia" pattern and one example with "Leaf" design. "Leaf" saucer having impressed eagle with "E. WOOD & SONS BURSLEM / SEMI CHINA / WARRANTED" and "H" to underside. First quarter 19th century. 2 1/4" HOA.
Dahlia set mostly undamaged with some crazing, saucer with minute flake to foot ring, possibly a stilt mark, as made, and cup with minute flake and two minor bruises to foot ring; Leaf set having saucer with exterior light rim hairline that does not appear to go through to interior and cup with discolored restoration to one side.
