Description
Very impressive Draeger diving helmet made circa 1973. This is the model DM200, which utilizes a fiberglass body. Built very similar to traditional copper & brass models, this is a twelve bolt two light helmet with the bonnet threaded to the breastplate. The DM200 was relatively short-lived, being replaced by the updated but very similar DM220 in 1977. While this helmet is of a more modern design, its classic helmet appearance has made it very popular with collectors and classic diving groups. As can be seen in the photos, the helmet is in good original condition. The brass brails and 12 wing nuts are intact. The fiberglass body has no noticeable cracks or damage. On the inside neck ring, the number 124 is visible. A fantastic helmet that will continue to increase in value in the coming years!
Please note that in separate lots in this auction, we have the full assortment of Draeger diving equipment for the DM200 system!
All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity.
