Set of 4 Botanical Hand colored engravings indicating publishing dates 1799, 1800,1806 and 1807. 1799 comes from plate 454, 1800 comes from plate 467, 1806 comes from plate 993 and 1807 comes from plate 1022. The plate sizes were approximately 8" x5". Signed on bottom St. Geo. Crescent.: W. Curtis and T. Curtis. Original work came from Curtis's Botanical Magazine. The Botanical Magazine; or Flower-Garden Displayed, is an illustrated publication which began in 1787. The longest running botanical magazine, it is widely referred to by the subsequent name Curtis's Botanical Magazine. Each measures 9.5"W x 13"H
