Description
Continental, 20th century. Large inlaid burl and mixed wood vitrine in the neoclassical taste, having ormolu mounts, double beveled glazed doors, the interior fitted with shelves, and rising on toupie feet. Unmarked Approx. h. 83.75", w. 47.5", d. 19".
Condition
Structurally sound. Some oxidation to ormolu mounts. Locks and decorative elements around lock have been removed. Wear to finish on door, commensurate with usage. Scattered scuffing to bottom portion and top cornice on all sides. Small loss to veneer on one side panel near cornice. Burl veneer and mother of pearl inlay intact.
