Description
Japy Freres & Cie (French, founded 1806-c. 1930), 19th century. Architectural form gilt bronze clock in the renaissance-baroque taste having a pierced body, arched pediment decorated with grotesque masks, the dial with Roman numerals, and rising on bracket feet. The face marked "Howard & Co./New York", the mechanism with maker's mark, "46" and "64". Approx. h. 14.5", w. 9.5", d. 6".
Condition
Glass door does not close completely; clock was not in working condition at time of testing; key and pendulum are present.
