黎錦熙（1890.2.2—1978.3.27），字劭西，出生於湖南湘潭，漢語言文字學家、詞典編編家、文字改革家、教育家。1915年受聘為部教科書特約編審員，1916年成立“中華國語研究會”，1955年為中國科學院哲學社會科學部學部委員（院士）。黎錦熙從事語文教學和研究工作70年，研究語言學和很研究的領域廣，例如、文字學、詞典學、語法學、修辭、教育學、目錄學等佛、地理學、歷史學上面很深的造詣和詳細的敘述。
