Description
Watercolor on paper 14 x 10 in "Chinese Theme". A painter in the Bronx of New York City, Charlotte Livingston was born in New York and studied at the National Academy of Design and the Art Students League and was a student of George Maynard and Ivan Olinsky. She was a member of the Bronx Artists Guild, the American Artists Professional League, the Bronx Institute of Art, the Ixia Society, and the American Federation of Arts. Livingston, a watercolor specialist, was married to Francis Vandeveer Kughler, an artist, and was Director of the Kingsbridge (NY) Historical Society from 1959 to 1972.
