PROVENANCE:
From collections of Victor J. Drack Jr. (1934-2019) of Kinnelon, St. Augustine, FL. A telecommunication Engineer, a successful businessman in Northern Florida. In the initial years following his retirement he and his wife traveled extensively around the world to many countries. He put interest in collecting glass art, especially antique Peking glass and his late wife became an avid collector and had added more than 40 pieces.

Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Peking Glass Carved Dragon motif Octagonal Bowl. The bowls has an open mouth, octagonal body shaped, thick, deep arced body, raised with octagonal foot ring and slight concave. The interior, exterior are both covered in yellow glaze. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing. And carved with Imperial dragon are borne in floating clouds, flame, above Lishui waves. Peking glass originated in 18th century China during the rule of the Qing Dynasty. Historically, many pieces of Peking glass were made with yellow glass dubbed Imperial Yellow, due to the colors strong association with the Qing Imperial . Which attracting unceasingly admiration. The clouds and dragon patterns are vivid and have distinctive characteristics of the times.
Mark in the base, a four carved seal script characters reign mark, Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
