Description
Native American, United States, Archaic to Woodland period, ca. 7000 BCE to 1800 CE (9000 to 200 BP). A great collection of 33 hand-knapped stone projectile points with a wonderful array of hues and types. The stones used are chert and glassy black obsidian. The diversity of points in this frame nicely exemplifies the different forms that emerged across North America. Included projectile types are Rose Springs, Cottonwood, Uinta, Toyah, Washita, Salmon River, Shadid, Side Notched Plains, Lovell, Emigrant, Pelona, Gatecliff, Cortato, Samantha, Trujillo, Papago, Cold Springs, Hells Canyon, Duncan, Snake River, and Parowan. This colorful gathering will be a wonderful addition to any collection! Size of case: 10" L x 1" W x 12" H (25.4 cm x 2.5 cm x 30.5 cm); largest point: 1.8" L x 1.125" W (4.6 cm x 2.9 cm)
