A Graeco-Persian carnelian scaraboid
Circa 5th-4th Century B.C.
Engraved on the underside with a Persian king in combat with a rearing lion, its tail curling upwards, the bearded king wearing a crown, tunic and trousers, groundline below, drilled horizontally, mounted on a later swivel ring, 1.9cm long
