After the 18th century model by J. C. Schönheit, the mother seated on a chair with a pierced back and laurel swag, spanking a child on her lap, another child standing to her right holding her arm, on an oval base with moulded leaves and flowers and a gilt-edged formal foliate border, 25.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised model number J.66., impressed 52, green painter's numeral 45 (chair back cleanly restuck)
