Item Details

Description

Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn., half column & splat, mahogany veneered short-style case with paw feet, painted wood dial, Terry type hands, 30 hour, time and strike weight driven wood movement.

Condition

Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old and possibly original finish has some shrinkage cracks to the door veneer, and a small chip to the left chimney. Original stenciling on the columns and splat with an upper part of the splat missing. Finials absent. Original painted dial is in good condition for its age with some small loss at the strike side winding arbor. Original hands and excellent original tablet. Movement was made by Riley Whiting. Clean label inside. ACCESSORIES: Pendulum, Two Cast Iron Weights
