Description
A poster advertising “The Pingree Composite Shoe”, produced by Pingree & Smith of Detroit, Michigan, and dating to the late 1800s. Poster reads “A Shoe With A Record” and “Sold By T.B. Royce & Co.” and lists shoe price as “$3.00 per Pair”. The “T” in “T.B. Royce & Co.” was glued over the original letter. Poster was printed by the Calvert Litho Co. of Detroit, MI. Poster is constructed in two halves split horizontally down the center. Bottom half has 2 rips along the crease and a small piece missing on the top left corner. Bottom also has some surface dirt and stains at the bottom edge. Top half has 2 small rips along the right side edge as well as some stains near the bottom edge. Overall good condition. See photos. Measures 54.5x42" when put together.
