Vally Wieselthier
Wiki: Vally Wieselthier was born in Vienna in 1895. From 1914 she attended the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts, initially the textiles workshop, then the specialist class for painting under Kolo Moser. In 1927 Wieselthier returned to the Wiener Werkstätte and became head of the workshop for ceramics.

Davids notes: One of the most important ceramic designers of the most important design design school, the influence and significance of Vally Wieselthier cannot be understated. Her bright colors and innocent charming figures of Austrian clowns, children and couples influenced thousands of designers and decorators for decades to come.
