Dorothea Kirchner-Moldenhauer
Moldenhauer was a German sculptor and graphic artist. She studied under Hans von Hayek at the painting school in Dachau, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Monahcium, with Willy Zugel. As early as 1913, she took part in exhibitions of bronze sculptures and tiny porcelain animal figurines. In the years 1942-1944 she participated in the Grossen Deutschen Kunstausstellung. In the 1920s, she worked as a model designer at Schwarzburger Werkstätten in Unterweisbach and for Rosenthal in Selb, where she focused on small figurines of dogs, cats, mice, frogs and birds. She was a member of the art group Luitpold-Gruppe in Munich.
