Three Chinese Hardstone Seals. The first of grayish-yellow stone suffused with a russet crackle, surmounted by a pig, the sides incised with a landscape and a character reading Zhu below a stylized cloud frieze; the second of mottled khaki stone, surmounted by a dog, the sides decorated with a landscape and a character reading Gou above an eight-character poetic inscription, all below a triangle-diaper border; the third of mottled pale gray stone, surmounted by a chicken, the sides with a mountainous scene and a character reading Ji above an eight-character poetic inscription, all below a triangle-diaper pattern. {Longest: 3 1/8 inches (7.9 cm)}. Condition: All with chips, some wear and natural imperfections to surfaces.
