Rare American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Punch Bowl and Ladle
fourth quarter 19th century, made by Pairpoint in the "Catalpa" pattern, decorated with hobstars and panels of crosshatching, with a separate bowl, stand and a ladle with a matching glass handle, the silverplate marked "Pairpoint Mfg. Co.".

Condition
In overall very good condition. The bowl is comprised of two pieces - the bowl which sits inside the stem pedestal. The bowl has a light scratch to the bottom. It also has some scattered abrading and small chips to its sawtooth rim, and to its pedestal foot rim. The fitter rims where the two pieces connect have some minor chips and abrading. The bowl and pedestal bodies are remarkably intact with one or two tiny chips to the cutwork edges. The glass handle on the ladle has some minor rubbing and abrading from the bowl edge.
