Faberge Collection Reproduction Imperial Easter Egg

20th century, after the 1895 "Rosebud" egg, gilt metal, golden enamel and crystal, the egg opening to reveal an enameled rosebud which itself opens to reveal an egg pendant chain, complete with stand, and insert card, presented in the original cream satin-lined, gilt-stamped indigo velvet case.

Notes: The original, by workmaster Michael Perkhin, was in a dark orange enamel as opposed to the gold here, and contained three "surprises" in all (nesting doll style): a rosebud containing a Tsarina's crown containing a cabochon ruby egg pendant. The latter two "surprises" are long missing.
