Nelson 1888 UNIFORMS OF THE ARMY OF THE UNITED STATES: Publisher: B. M. Whitlock, New York, c. 1889. Hardcover. Illustrated by H. A. Ogden (illustrator). First edition. Large folio. 18" x 15.5" With 44 full page chromolithographed illustrations of the uniforms of the United States Army from 1775 to 1888, accompanied by Nelson's text in letterpress(All Parts 1-10) The lithographs are after water colors by H. A. Ogden. Prepared and executed by the Quartermaster General of the United States under authority of the Secretary of War. Lithographed by G. H. Buek & Co. De Luxe edition, one of 1500 copies of which this is No. 136. Rare complete with all 44 plates present, No text on the exterior folio marbled boards. Minor edge tears to some of the text, prints are vivid and bright.
