Unframed Shipping in USA $ 100 - Juan Rimsa (Kaunas, Lithuania, 1903-Santa Monica, California, 1978) was teacher of teachers. With him were trained in the Superior Course of Fine Arts, in Sucre, Jose Ostria and Josefina Reynolds; in his workshop in La Paz, with Graciela Rodo Boulanger, Maria Esther Ballivian and Raull Mariaca. He toured different countries of America, being captivated by the Bolivian landscape and its people. Cecilio Guzman de Rojas and Gregorio Reynolds were great friends of his, while with the poet Yolanda Bedregal he had an intense love story that was transformed into a friendship maintained by correspondence. The portraits he made of the artist are famous. Rimsa was naturalized Bolivian and received the Condor of the Andes for his artistic merits and for having made Bolivia known, through his works, abroad. He also lived in Argentina, Brazil and Tahiti. He spent his last days in California, USA.
