Description
Navajo Turquoise, Silver and Multi-Stone 4-Strand Treasure Necklace - This Navajo treasure necklace has four extravagant strands embellished with handcrafted silver beads, turquoise boulders, amber, amethyst, pearls and a plethora of other treasures. The strands are beaded with lapis lazuli, rock crystals, shells, carved coral, and other fun treasures, and even has a silver ring beaded onto one of the strands, which you can imagine was special to the maker of this stunning piece. The necklace measures 26" in length at the shortest strand, and the 3-strand bib measures 6" in length while worn. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years. This is truly a museum quality piece and one of the nicest Native American artifacts we have seen in quite some time.
