the pair of balbous form, with handles formed as coiled snakes extending from white and gilt acanthus leaves, each body featuring a ornate gilt cartouche with painted bouquets of wildflowers, the base and stem with ribbed gilt detailing, all against a deep cobalt ground with white and gilt accents, each marked with blue factory mark underglaze, numeral 37 in blue underglaze and incised in paste E116, stamped in paste 116 under each base, in gilt underglaze under one 345a1; overall height: 38 cm (15 in.)

CONDITION
The pair appears in very good condition. Minor rubbing to the gilt detailing, most notably to the base of each. Inspection under UV shows no apparent sign of restoration.
