Included in this lot is an original 'Custer of the West' movie poster, circa 1967. Custer of the West (1967) was a movie starring Robert Shaw and Ty Hardin. George Armstrong Custer's love of the heroic traditions of the Calvary and his distaste with the coming of industrialization leads him to his destiny at the Little Big Horn. Written on the top left of the poster is, "From the fury and chaos of the Civil War to the glory days of the 7th Cavalry to the final earth-shaking charge at Little Big Horn!” On the bottom of the poster, there are portraits of some of the characters in the show, including Custer, Elizabeth, Benteen, Reno, Mulligan, and Sheridan. On the bottom left of the poster is written "Copyright (c) MCMLXVII American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., All Rights Reserved. Printed in U.S.A." This piece is in good condition and measures 40" by 60".
