A French parcel gilt and patinated bronze allegorical figure: L'Histoire
after the model by Georges Bareau (1866-1931); Barbedienne foundry
late 19th/early 20th century

Incised to side of base GEORGES BAREAU, further incised BARBEDIENNE FONDEUR and with an A. Collas Reduction Mechanique pastille, raised on a faux marble plinth.

Property of Rosamond Westmoreland, Beverly Hills, California
Condition
Plinth 2 1/4 x 10 3/4 x 10 3/4in. Nicely cast. With an overall dark, even patina. Lacking quill from right hand. With an apparent loss to back with an indentation and abrasion. General marks, scratches, spotting, rubbing and wear. With some drip marks down front. Dirt accumulation.
