A PAIR OF GEORGE II CARVED MAHOGANY SIDE CHAIRS, MID-18TH CENTURY, each with an arched crest centering a stylized shell above a reticulated splat of interlaced strapwork and rocaille flanked by tapering bell flower detailed stiles on a trapezoidal petit and gros point needlework drop-in seat of paired birds centering blossoming stems within a border of stylized foliage above a pierced seatrail of scrolling rocaille raised on claw and ball feet with shell hips. Height: 41 7/8" Width: 22 1/2" Depth: 18 1/2"
