Description
A pair of Chinese pierced porcelain lantern vases dating from the Republic period that have been converted into lamps. Each side of the hexagonal bodies feature a roundel with a landscape or a mythical beast set against a green-ground. The rest of the body is decorated with lotus tracery.
Dimensions are: the vase measures 12 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 30.5 cm X 20.3 cm, while the whole lamp measures 25 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide, 63.5 cm X 24.1 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Aside from its conversion into a lamp, both are in overall good condition.
Provenance: From a private collector in Denver, Colorado.
