Two J. B. Owens / Clewell Copper Clad Vases
early 20th century, both vases with floral decoration, the tall bud vase is stamped on the underside "CLEWELL METAL ART / CANTON O." shape 1118 (11 1/4 in.) and the low open footed vase stamped "Owens" (5 3/8 x 5 in.)
Clewell was made in limited quantities by Charles Walter Clewell of Canton, Ohio​, producing a thin coating of bronze to cover pottery, then treated to make the "Copper Clad, Verdigris Patina".
