Early 19C Wooden Iron Strapped Canteens L.I., NY

Three Wooden Metal Strapped Early 19th Century Canteens. Two are of round canteen form with lead spouts and wrought iron straps with eye hooks for carrying. One has a crack on one side the other is in good overall condition. The third is of inverted bucket form with three wrought iron brass straps and lead spout. In good overall condition and appears to have traces of old grey paint. The smallest measures 8" in diameter and 6" wide the other 9" diameter 6 ½" wide and the bucket form 9 ½" high with diameter of 9 ½". The buckets are from the Talmage Family 17th century East Hampton, Long Island - NY home.
