Sign In to see what this sold for

Five Wooden Knife Sheaths. All are carved B.L. Two are burned etched with the word Nimrod, from a sea going vessel possibly a whaling ship. Early 19th century. Four have wrapped cord around them as a construction method and on the longer ones and the shaped one it looks like cording was used as a repair. These pulleys are from the Talmage Family 17th Century home in East Hampton, Long Island, NY. Family history notes that there was a sea captain in the family. Varies from 6" long to 10" long and varies from 3" wide to 5" wide. All five sold together as one lot.
