Item Details

Description

Enchanting Chinoiserie English Chippendale giltwood overmantel mirror. The Chippendale mirror is all craved giltwood with an open Center Cartouche flanked by a pair of HO HO Birds perched on pagoda roofs. This Classic Chinoiserie mirrors frame has craved foliage, flowers, columns, and icicles. This extraordinary Classic Chippendale mirror would be right at home in Brighton Pavilion.

Condition

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. The center Cartouche has been broken off and repaired showing a minor crack. The to Ho Ho Birds beaks have minor losses. There are minor chips around the frame. The mirror is beautiful and structurally sound.
