This wood canvas canoe is made of white cedar planking and ribs, cherry deck, seats and gunwales. It is varnished on the inside and painted canvas exterior. It has a brass bang strip. The bow has the Rushton stamp. This is a rare grade A Rushton. 15' canoe, 33" wide. Comes with a custom cherry 63" canoe paddle made by Ed Chase #51 who is the grandson of Mr. Rushton. Paddle was made about 1990 and this paddle is a copy of his grandfather's model. This canoe was a class winner in the 1987 Rushton canoe race. This boat has been in the same North Country family for many years.
