Description
stamped on stems. Professionally restore by Everett Smith, Canton, NY. Very good condition, only used a few times since it was restored. Award winning canoe. ID NO. 4154. This wood canvas canoe is made of white cedar planking and ribs, cherry deck, seats and gunwales. It is varnished on the inside and painted canvas exterior. It has a brass bang strip. The bow has the Rushton stamp. This is a rare grade A Rushton. 15' canoe, 33" wide. Comes with a custom cherry 63" canoe paddle made by Ed Chase #51 who is the grandson of Mr. Rushton. Paddle was made about 1990 and this paddle is a copy of his grandfather's model. This canoe was a class winner in the 1987 Rushton canoe race. This boat has been in the same North Country family for many years.
