Early panorama photograph of the Palo Alto Military Academy, which was founded around 1893 as Manzanita Hall, a college preparatory school for boys, at the behest of Stanford University President David Starr Jordan, who sought a higher level of incoming students. In 1919 it became the Palo Alto Military Academy, with the boys and teens in the photograph garbed in rather spiffy uniforms.
