BEAUTIFUL ENGLISH POURED WAX DOLL IN ORIGINAL WOODEN BOX. 18”. Poured wax shoulder head with blue glass inset eyes, molded eyelids, painted eyebrows, closed mouth with pale pink lips, blonde hair which is inserted into scalp, softly-stuffed cotton body with stitch-jointed hips, poured wax legs to above the knees and arms to above the elbows, original white cotton dress and wool flannel petticoat, white leather boots which tie at the sides, contained in lidded hardwood box with original finish. Commentary: Fine wax model is beautifully preserved with rosy complexion, original body and limbs, circa 1880.
