Paper mache shoulderhead with slender throat, painted features, dark blue eyes, upper eyeliner, tapered brows, closed mouth, original brunette hand-tied human hair wig over painted pate with red silk band, arranged in side curls with tightly-braided and rolled pouf at the top, slender kid body with carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted flat green slippers, original cotton gown with lace trim. Commentary: Circa 1830’s, rare to find early doll is well-preserved with lovely original finish, rare hair style, dress fragile and showing wear, overall excellent condition.
