SMALL WWII GERMAN LIONS HEAD SABER

Unusual WWII German lion's head saber with standard sized hilt, but blade measuring only 23 inches long. Wire wrapped black celluloid grip, with lions head pommel, "P" knuckle bow, and national eagle on langet. Obverse langet is engraved with "HM" monogram. No makers mark on ricasso. Black enamel rolled steel scabbard. Overall very good condition.
