Rare c. 1836 25-Star American Printed Silk Parade Flag
c. 1836, Rare 25-Star American Printed Silk Parade Flag, with 5/5/5/5/5 Star Pattern, Choice Very Fine.
This 25-Star American Parade Flag represents the State of Arkansas's entrance into the Union on June 15, 1836. Printed on White Silk, it measures about 1.75" x 1.5". The 25-Stars are in 5 horizontal rows of 5-Stars each. The original wooden hand-stick is broken off just below the flag. Silk has a clean appearance with a small split at top left edge in the blue canton into the first row of stars. Overall, a nice example of this scarce 25-Star Arkansas statehood Parade Flag.
