Parcel-Gilt Colonial Revival Mahogany Looking Glass, in the Chippendale taste, the rectangular plate surmounted by a broken swan's neck crest centered by an urn finial issuing a floral spray over a frieze with an inlaid eagle oval panel, surrounded by a molded frame with side applied foliate garlands, with a shaped pendant below, h. 61", w. 24".
This mirror, which is in the style of New York Federal mirrors, is in excellent condition. The mahogany frame has an old finish with no visible flaws, no chips, or cracks to veneer or the gilding. As one would expect, there is some wrinkling to the wires holding the flower sprays at the top. There is one chipped and one missing petals on the sprays.
