Franco-Chinese Gilt-Bronze-Mounted Mandarin Rose Export Bowl

third quarter 19th century, the bowl decorated with Mandarin scenes and raised on a pierced bronze base with putti supporting swags of flowers, the scrolled and leaf-molded bronze handles set on the pierced and scroll-molded bronze rim.

**There is a 3-3/4" x 7" crescent-shaped repair to the rim of the bowl under the bronze mount that has been overglazed with a like, but not matching, color. The repair is still quite visible with an ~1/4" loss along break. Bronze mounts with some accretions and oxidation to gilt patination.
